Yari Cruz was chosen as a recipient of the Fall 2017 College of Arts and Sciences Travel Award. She will travel to the MLA 2018 Annual Convention in January to present her paper "Transmedia and Telenovelas: Parodying Latinx Melodrama for a Transnational and Hemispheric Audience."
